I'm running twtd on an Alpine Linux VPS, and mostly post through Twtxt.app. I'll probably leave if it gets too popular. # link = Blog https://html-chunder.neocities.org/ # client = twtxt-app/0.1 # # _ /\ _ _ _ # ______ _ __ _| \ _(/___ / |___ _/ |___ _/ |_ # \_ / | | |/ _` | |/ // __| | __\ \ /\ / / __\ \/ / __\ # / /| |_| | (_| | < \__ \ | |_ \ V V /| |_ > <| |_ # /___|\__, |\__,_|_|\ \|___/ \__\ \_/\_/ \__\_/\ \\__\ # /___/ \/ \/ # # # follow = aelaraji https://aelaraji.com/twtxt.txt # follow = aesthetic https://twtpub.com/u/aesthetic/twtxt.txt # follow = arne https://uplegger.eu/twtxt.txt # follow = balloon-fu-sen https://tw.fus.f5.si/twtxt.txt # follow = bear-blog-trending-posts https://feeds.twtxt.net/bear-blog-trending-posts/twtxt.txt # follow = david https://daiwei.me/twtxt.txt # follow = fossham https://twtpub.com/u/fossham/twtxt.txt # follow = itsericwoodward http://itsericwoodward.com/twtxt.txt # follow = j1984txt https://twtxt.agsisinfo.com/twtxt.txt # follow = JasonSanta https://jasonsanta.xyz/twtxt.txt # follow = javivf https://adn.org.es/twtxt.txt # follow = jecxjo https://sh0.xyz/twtxt.txt # follow = kamme https://twtxt.thanatos.be/twtxt.txt # follow = klaxzy https://klaxzy.net/etc/twtxt.txt # follow = lyse https://lyse.isobeef.org/twtxt.txt # follow = movq https://www.uninformativ.de/twtxt.txt # follow = prologic https://twtxt.net/user/prologic/twtxt.txt # follow = shinyoukai https://twtxt.net/user/shinyoukai/twtxt.txt # following = 18 # 2026-09-26T07:00:57Z Here I go again... micro writing. Twtxting is quirky as. 2026-09-27T00:23:55Z I have nothing to do. It's great. 2026-09-27T11:51:32Z (#fai4lb6q5cyh) @ Ahoy! Having fun wrapping my head around some of your fantastic tools. Managed to get twtd on an Alpine Linux VPS. So far so good! 2026-09-27T22:43:46Z (#fai4lb6q5cyh) @ Yeah. I was originally just going to use twtxt as a log of sorts, but the twtd/Twtxt.app combo fits my online social capacity pretty well. 2026-09-27T22:47:27Z Visitors this morn: A [Grey Butcherbird](https://birdlife.org.au/bird-profiles/grey-butcherbird/) picking up some treats on the lawn, and a [Noisy Miner](https://birdlife.org.au/bird-profiles/noisy-miner/) enjoying a drink of nectar from the Bird of Paradise. 2026-09-28T01:22:03Z (#fai4lb6q5cyh) @ Will do. I'm pretty good at breaking stuff so be warned! 2026-09-28T01:42:38Z A neighbouring house has a hum, like a bathroom fan, that I cannot un-hear. 2026-09-28T01:48:22Z I wonder if belching randomly into a microblogging medium has any healthy benefits. Or maybe unhealthy? Then again, if it's just writing like this, it already existed in my head, so no harm right? 2026-09-28T23:20:55Z Visitors this morn: A friendly, collared, orange/black/white cat. Saw the tail of a blue-tongued lizard, stood over that part of the garden it disappeared into until a magpie started swooping and snapping at it. 2026-09-28T23:22:44Z I think I'm finally getting over this cold. Hoorah. 2026-09-28T23:48:21Z (#7wdwy32af62z) @ I'll give it a crack, but sheesh birds are hard to photograph on a phone! 2026-09-28T23:49:20Z (#fsaliabfotys) @ Beautiful! 2026-09-29T20:13:44Z Miners coming in for breakfast, and the ever so serious and mysterious Frank the Tank being a creep.

I see a few feeds coming from gemini:// and curious what wizardry goes on behind those doors. 2026-09-29T22:10:33Z (#sqlsztrvmvnp) @ Nice! I'm always impressed with you lot in the gemini/gopher space whipping up homebrewed tools. 2026-09-30T00:10:52Z (#fpctutimcf6r) @ he's hiding well enough to avoid becoming a snack. Haven't petted one for years but I remember that rough texture too. 2026-09-30T19:25:05Z Reading mojo back in full force. Locking it in with Will Self's "Why Read". 2026-09-30T20:08:59Z (#2x6vr3chd2aj) @ I've noticed fiction hasn't been as easy for me to get through, but I'll put that down to trying new authors that just weren't right for me. I'm going to a bookfair on Friday and going to return to some old favs like Nigel Tranter and Robert Ludlum. Your list has given me some inspo. Might grab a Lee Child. Any favs of his I should look out for? 2026-09-30T20:31:34Z (#2x6vr3chd2aj) @ No worries, he does grab me as an author that you know what you're up for no matter the book. 2026-09-30T20:33:55Z Morning observations (back in the city for a night, noticable differences): Birdsong awakenings replaced by alleyway echoes of a tormented man crashing into steel roller doors, wailing through toothless gums bang bang boom boom, fck off fck off. Helicopter hovering above almost directly, scouting *something*. Miners and magpies still squarking occasionally between mankind. 2026-10-01T02:50:50Z Moved from Bitwarden to KeePassXC for better keyboard shortcuts and cloudless device syncing. So far so good. 2026-10-01T05:54:17Z (#sqlsztrvmvnp) @ Nice. If I get a gem capsule back up and running I'll try it out. My sysadmin incompetence is shining through though - home server crashed while I'm OS, and I can't get anything other than HTTP proxies working on my VPS. 2026-10-01T17:24:24Z (#jicboqhxnip7) @ I'd probably still go with Bitwarden in a company given its a bit more user friendly for your every day user. Not sure how good KeePass is with shared entries either, but I don't need that. 2026-10-02T04:13:44Z Haul from the local Lifeline bookfair. ![](https://twtxt.z85b.xyz/media/f7f9b4cbe8673de5.jpg) 2026-10-02T06:04:20Z (#arifn7nqvivv) @ yeah that was a good find! One of three that were already on my to-read list. They had a great range. 2026-10-02T11:53:41Z Couldn't help myself. Made a [personal HTML twtxt stream](https://z85b.xyz/twtxt/). Respects light/dark mode, shows images, filters out threaded posts. 2026-10-02T12:08:42Z (#sikti3lpaxlx) @ twtxt.app feature request - ability to filter out threaded posts/replies on user profiles? It's nice to read original posts only on a user's profile, and reply posts can be a bit cluttery without the context of clicking through. Just a thought. 2026-10-02T19:55:40Z Identified the [Little Wattlebird](https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/665937149) as the early riser with the big voice. 2026-10-03T05:33:37Z (#sikti3lpaxlx) @ When I was on the fediverse I always liked that option in clients apps, even on the main feeds it was nice to hide *everyone's* replies. Here though there's not a huge population so it's not so bad. 2026-10-03T05:40:02Z (#sikti3lpaxlx) @ It's probably a lost cause given we all input our twts different ways. If I wasn't using a client like twtxt.app I probably wouldn't even bother with twt hashing but rather just scream into the void. I haven't used the "fork" option here yet either so no idea what that does. 2026-10-03T05:40:32Z (#4kixzaxd5e3y) Fork test 2026-10-03T09:04:35Z (#4kixzaxd5e3y) @ Ah cool, twtxt.app shows a clickable link to the og thread: "Forked from an early conversation", and when there, you can't see the posts on this fork unless you click through to it from the post that was forked. Now I've seen it I think it works really well! I feel for you guys working on UIs. It'd be cool to be able to see it look like an actual fork. Mobile though? Hurts my head thinking about it. 2026-10-03T21:56:27Z Back onto the omelettes. So versatile! Throw in anything. Chives, spinach, mint, mushroom, ham, chorizo, silverbeet, tomato, cheese. Whatever's at hand. Fluff it up with milk, or don't. Salt and pepper. Nom nom. 2026-10-03T21:58:38Z (#35vqhnsveiht) oh gawd there's too many forks in this drawer. 2026-10-05T12:41:47Z Daylight savings tripping me up again. Even had the date in my calendar. I'm in the wrong country though! Australia is a week after NZ damnit. 2026-10-06T01:48:58Z (#wvchp2jjv3gt) The universal confusion it causes across the board is comical come to think of it. 2026-10-06T02:17:51Z (#srlaqnohfwm5) Those old buildings are nice to look at! I like the style with the walls that are brick interspersed with timber. 2026-10-08T00:55:30Z Re-familiarising myself with childhood trails. Overreaching with back to back 15k runs coming off being sick, but I'm having too much fun. ![](https://twtxt.z85b.xyz/media/7512638f480d5722.jpg) ![](https://twtxt.z85b.xyz/media/32a9f2e5953a942f.jpg) ![](https://twtxt.z85b.xyz/media/7651845bd1949b05.jpg) ![](https://twtxt.z85b.xyz/media/9444bd17048e616b.jpg) 2026-10-08T03:10:56Z (#bgkpchwuymy5) @ ha! I've been hanging out for a proper coastal storm while I'm here but unfortunately the weathers been beautiful. 2026-10-08T03:14:07Z (#dtmc7gtkwvjn) @ Sydney's northern beaches, but I live in south island NZ now. Just here for a visit. 2026-10-08T03:15:11Z (#dtmc7gtkwvjn) @ me too. Lots of big rock slabs around here. Much fun. 2026-10-09T22:13:22Z (#dohtydo4qikb) @ This looks fantastic. I wonder sometimes if my new path of todo.txt, calendar.txt, and custom project management has steered me off GTD and more towards tinkering. I used to use [Nirvana](https://www.nirvanahq.com/) for both work and private and found it really took my GTD skills to another level.. really started to feel "mind like water". Mindwtr looks next level though. Very very tempted. 72d on, is it still working well for you? 2026-10-10T04:59:05Z Back in the city for a few days, staying again with family. Glebe markets. Think I'm over markets. Junk I don't need. Used to like a proper farmers market where I could get a good load of veg, bread and meat. I got a gozleme. Overpriced but somewhat filling. They're always so hot, straight off the cast iron metal cooking plates, but I don't have the patience to let it cool when hunger is taking over. Went across the road into Sapho's second hand bookshop, a place I can spend hours on any given day, and bought two books I also don't need - one a book on books, The Gutenberg Elegies by Sven Birkerts, and the other, an expected slide into depravity, Snuff by Chuck Palahniuk. Happy to kick my feet up now in the cool of these four walls as the after rains sun starts to make it a little uncomfortable outside. There's a restlessness in me though, maybe a hint of homesickness, or a guilt of not travelling a bit more abroad with my time I've made for myself. Nevermind, a small trip west next week is on the cards, and a loose date for my return to NZ is approaching. 2026-10-10T05:14:00Z If twtxt is for micro-blogging, what would be the macro-blogging solution that best fits the twtxt philosophy? Something not quite a static site generator or gopher hole? A folder of txts? 2026-10-10T06:17:19Z (#yeoxqnbzojcg) Ah yep what meillo has done was how I saw it. But I see the limitations now. I think for me a small SSG is still the best next step up, just thought there might've been something I was missing in the middle ground. Twtxt is pretty sweet that you can technically use it for longer form writing anyway. Guess it's all about what we're trying to achieve. 2026-10-10T06:37:23Z The voices that travel across the alleyway from the BnB apartment at drink-o'clock are hilarious. One week a bunch of man-childs "rargh rarghing" to the footy finals, another week a bunch of women-childs (wives of man-childs maybe?) speaking a language I simply don't understand. God we're pests when we gather in our flock. 2026-10-10T07:39:00Z (#yeoxqnbzojcg) @ yeah had a squiz. Looks really good! I've been with Zola for a while, but thinking of starting afresh with something new 2026-10-14T01:07:23Z (#aome5qq5fqfc) @ lol for me it's when I get caught out running without a headlamp in the trails and end up running by braille.
